In the last-minute panic of finishing a literature review on the topic of “What conditions are necessary for female visible minorities to obtain political office in Canada?”, I revisited my aged-old tradition of procrastination and ordered something online.
Except you will NEVER guess what it is! (Anna: “Is it a sweater? A dress?! Oh I know, it’s a lipstick!!”)
I wrote to Rona Ambrose, the Minister of Public Works and Government Services to request a flag that has flown atop the Peace Tower! No, I’m not crazy. This actually is a service offered to Canadians. So just 32 years before I get my very own 2.3 m X 4.6 m Peace Tower flag. I wonder what kind of mark I will have left on this world by then.
